Another bonanza from Eran Litvin

Eran is a longtime staunch follower of the Shamir brothers' legacy. He has sent us over the years many ads by Shamir that he found in newspapers and magazines. In his work in archives he discovered graphic works by the studio. But the most important work - the first bonanza - was the discovery of the record sleeve of the military bands, the only record sleeve designed by the Shamir brothers.

Today Eran sent his second bonanza. During his visit to the Nof Ginosar Hotel on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, Eran entered the dining room and discovered on the wall 3 figures that the Shamir brothers incorporated into their design of the Bank of Israel banknotes in 1958. The fisherman from the one Lira banknote, the Nahal soldier from the half a Lira banknote  and the Workman from the  five Lira banknote. The local artist added features from the Sea of Galilee landscape and the life of the kibbutz.

Ten kilometers south, on the promenade in Tiberias, Shamir's fisherman received a great honor - a permanent display in the pavement stones.
